Britney Spears asked permission on court on Friday (January 22 2010) if she could make an auction for the dress she wore at The 2008 MTV Video Music Awards for Haiti relief. “Britney is very enthusiastic about making a donation to the cause,” Radar Online quoted the Britney’s attorney Sam Ingham as saying. Spears’ lawyers also requested if other personal objects Britney no longer uses could be donated to auction as well. On the hearing held this Friday, her father Jamie Spears remained as her conservator, being the person responsible for Britney’s finances and legal affairs as well as for the singer herself. Los Angeles Superior Court commissioner in Britney Spears conservatorship case want a courtroom performance from Ms. Spears and it didn’t happen yesterday (January 15), when it was supposed to do. Reva Goetz, the commissioner, said that Britney was supposed to show at court at 1:30 P.M., but the pop princess didn’t show after she was informed by her lawyers that she didn’t need to. The commissioner wasn’t as receptive to the news that Britney wasn’t showing and re-scheduled the hearing to next Friday (January 22), and Britney needs to attend it. Related Posts: |

OK! Magazine reports that Britney Spears has been distressed since the decision of a judge in Los Angeles to extend her father’s conservatorship power over her. A source allegedly close to Britney told OK: “Britney is very upset about the conservatorship being extended, She feels very duped by the people around her. ” The next hearing in the conservatorship case will be held in January 14 2010. A judge from The California Superior Court has ruled Britney Spears conservatorship will be extended for a period of six months and possibly one year, according to TMZ. The rule applied to the extension of the case is still the same that has been going on since mid 2008. Britney Spears father, Jamie Spears will be the person fully responsible for his daughter state in all means: professionally/personally/financial/etc, meaning that even being 28-years-old, Britney is not responsible for her acts or her life, like an underage teenager or a child. Jamie will continue receiving from Britney $16,000 a month as his salary and is allowed by judge to spend up to $300,000 in attorney’s fees. Britney’s co-conservator will receive $174,569 for the time he has been her conservator aside her father Jamie, a period from July 2009 through November 2009. Britney’s “Circus” wins Fuse.tv Best Video of 2009 championship after destroying Papa Roach with a difference of 10 million votes on the final round (LOL @ Papa Roach). It’s the second consecutive year that Britney is Fuse’s Video of The Year, last year “Womanizer” beat Paramore on the final round with a difference of 1 million votes. Now, ROUND THREE she faces Lady GaGa’s “Poker Face” and she’s currently destroying, “Circus” has of right now 7,271,661 votes against 5,660,430 of “Poker Face”… VOTE, VOTE, VOTE, KILL, KILL, KILL! Round three ends late this Sunday/very early Monday… Last year, “Womanizer” beat all the videos and became Fuse.tv Best of 2008 with 71% of the final votes, against Paramore! Britney’s first show in Australia was just hours ago in Perth and it’s already bringing up trouble for the pop princess… Now Britney’s “Circus Tour”, the first she’s taking to Aussie land, is subject of the government that is pissed about the pop princess is lip-syncing in portions of the concert. The Minister for Fair Trading for New South Wales state (the state where Sydney is located in), Virginia Judge, said she is considering options to make sure prospective concertgoers won’t be misled when buying tickets to the show: “It is Britney’s ‘prerogative’ to lip-sync, and it is my job to make sure consumers know what they are paying for up front.” – she said on a document released by the government earlier today. One of the minister’s idea is to include in the tickets that portions of the show are “pre-recorded”, but this government measure shouldn’t take a huge effect on the “Circus Tour” in Australia, since most of the dates are already sould out according to People Magazine. “Personally I would rather see a live set from a local artist,” Judge said, “but I am sure Britney’s fans will be treated to a spectacular show.” “Australians would not tolerate a ‘Mickey Mouse performance,’ Victoria Judge told Sydney’s Daily Telegraph. “Let’s be clear: Live means live. If you are spending up to 200 (australian) dollars, I think you deserve better than a film clip.” Some attendants also expressed their angriness over the lip-synced concert: “We are really big Britney fans, but it was crap. In the only category she was nominated this year, Best Video for “Circus”, she lost to Beyonce’s “Single Ladies”, she was also against Eminem (”We Made You”), Katy Perry (”Waking Up In Vegas”) and Shakira (”She Wolf”). Britney has in total 7 European Music Awards wins: Best Song for “…Baby One More Time” (1999), Best New Act (1999), Best Female Act (1999 and 2004), Best Pop Act (1999), Album Of The Year for “Blackout” (2008) and Act Of The Year (2008). Diane Martel, director of Britney Spears “3″ Music video told Life & Style magazine about working with Britney in the “3″ video saying it’s “her next sexy video”: “I think it’s her next sexy video, It’s a very simple video for her — I don’t think you’ve seen her this much under a magnifying glass. Everything’s really strong and playful.” Martel says that Britney has helped her in the wardrobe for the video as well as hair and makeup and on the process of choosing the music video’s choreographers: “We collaborated on the wardrobe and had meetings about hair and makeup people. We talked a lot on the phone and met Tone and Rich — two of the best choreographers.” Martel adds that Britney is a great artist to work with: “She’s so sweet and funny and so normal and down to earth. It’s really fun as a director to see her in front of the camera. She’s so creative with this stuff. The video is very simple, it’s very, very minimal. So it’s her, her, her. And she’s totally engaging every second. She really knows how to work with a camera and move.
