Sony/BMG Recently published the reason why “Gimme More” was a big flop and I’ll tell you what brought “Blackout” from #1 to #2 on Billboard US Charts 11 hours after got #1.
First of all,”Gimme More” is not a strong-commercial song, The beat is very good for Eletro fans, But they don’t buy CDs or vote on MTV and other Music Chanells. The video is a bad-produced art and the coreography not very great to make people fascinated by the video, as “Toxic”.After it, Britney didn’t make any promotion of the single in anywhere around the world, No perfomances, No TV Appearances, But a VMA Scandal, Why The VMA Performance was bad?Because Britney wanted to.The real performance would take from Britney too much days and hours to rehearse, And She didn’t have that time, Because She needs to be partying with her friends and making scandalous headlines about her parental skills.
Now, Why Eagles may have oversold Britney’s “Blackout”, 11 hours after being declared by Billboard #1 on US Charts, Some “revision” brought to numer one first studio-album from Eagles in 25 years. The Eagles album would be selling by Wal-Mart Only and Exclusevely, But It was also being sold in big stores like Virgin Megastore, If It’s Exclusive of Wal-Mart what were it doing in lots of other cd stores in the U.S.A.? The answer is…They were bought in Wal-Mart and were being re-selling at their stores, So, When Billboard was registering the sells, these stores would say how much Eagles sold in their stores, And Wal-Mart too, So the sells are doubled. On the other hand, Eagles fans are much older than Britney’s fans, And young people does not like to buy albums, they illegal download or pay for the download, Which by the way is much cheaper, But Eagles fans are more old people, That likes to have an original physical copy of the CDs in their homes, Eagles haven’t reached the Online Stores’ Top 10.
One-Week after Britney went from #2 to #7, Still being after Carrie Underwood, who released her new album two weeks before “Blackout”, But Why Carrie that is not a very known worldwide artist, Or not such as Britney sold more than her? Carrie is being HEAVLY promoting her new album,Making Perfomances, TV Appearances, Magazine Interviews, Photoshoots, Autographs Sections, Strong and Super-Produced First single.Carrie is doing what Britney didn’t and doesn’t want to, Sony/BMG says that the popstar do not want to make any TV Appearances, Performance, Interviews nor anything to promote “Blackout”
“Piece Of Me” is chosen second single for “Blackout”, The video is dated to starting being produced in January 2008, Sony/BMG is trying to make Britney have more time to her career, And the label is planing a super-produced Music Video with strong radio and tv promotion all over the world.
What we have to do now…Is to wait!
